Position: Assistant Manager / Manager – Welding Engineering

Location: Hazira, Surat
Experience: 3 to 12 Years
CTC Range: ₹8.5 LPA – ₹15 LPA (open for the right candidate)
Qualification: M.E. – Welding Engineering & Metallurgy OR B.Tech – Mechanical/Electrical
Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:45 PM (2nd & 4th Saturdays off)

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Assistant Manager / Manager – Welding Engineering with expertise in welding procedures, metallurgy, and shop floor execution. The role will focus on welding operations for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other heavy engineering components, ensuring compliance with international standards and codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review welding procedures and related documentation.

• Ensure compliance with ASME, IBR, API, and other relevant codes.

• Apply technical knowledge in pressure vessel and heat exchanger fabrication.

• Utilize expertise in welding metallurgy and heat treatment processes.

• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend corrective actions for failures.

• Develop and implement new welding procedures, techniques, and technologies.

• Perform shop surveillance to ensure adherence to welding standards.

• Collaborate across departments to resolve welding challenges and improve productivity.

• Apply knowledge of automatic tube-to-tube sheet welding.

• Maintain strong communication with internal teams and stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

• M.E. – Welding Engineering & Metallurgy with 3.5 – 7 years’ experience, OR

• B.Tech Mechanical/Electrical with 9 – 12 years’ experience.

• Hands-on shop floor welding experience (not QC/QA profiles).

• Strong technical knowledge of welding codes, metallurgy, and fabrication processes.

• Practical experience in pressure vessels and heat exchangers.

• Only 2 ATKTs in academics.

• Problem-solving ability with RCA expertise.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
