🔧 Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in Basic and Detail Engineering for Combined Cycle and Cogeneration (Cogen) Power Plants. The role involves leading engineering activities, reviewing technical documentation, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and engaging with clients as an Owner’s Engineer.

📌 Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead Basic and Detail Engineering activities as Owner’s Engineer.
• Prepare and review HMBD for Combined Cycle and Cogen plants.
• Develop and verify Power Cycle P&IDs including steam, feedwater, and condensate systems.
• Perform and review sizing calculations for key equipment including:
  • HP/LP Bypass
  • BFP
  • CEP
  • Condenser
  • Other Power Cycle equipment
• Prepare technical specifications for:
  • Gas Fired Boilers
  • Steam Turbines
  • Associated Power Plant Equipment
• Conduct Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE).
• Review vendor drawings for major equipment such as Boilers, TG Sets, and Power Cycle Systems independently.
• Review overall plot plans and equipment layouts.
• Coordinate interface engineering across departments and lead the engineering team.
• Attend and lead client discussions, provide clarifications, and conclude technical points.
  👤 Preferred Candidate Profile

• Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 8–12 years in:
  • Combined Cycle and Cogen Plant design
  • HMBD preparation and review
  • Power cycle P&ID preparation and validation
  • Sizing calculations for power cycle equipment
  • Specification drafting for boilers, turbines, and allied systems
  • Technical bid evaluation
  • Vendor drawing review of Boiler, Turbine Generator and other major process equipment
• Proven client-facing experience and ability to represent as Owner’s Engineer.
