Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic HR leader to head the India HR operations. This role will oversee all Human Resources functions across manufacturing units, administrative locations, and corporate functions pan-India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building a performance-driven, compliant, and engaging HR ecosystem aligned with business goals and values.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Strategy & Leadership
- Design and execute comprehensive HR strategies in alignment with business growth and organizational values.
- Partner with business and plant leadership for workforce planning, manpower budgeting, and cultural transformation initiatives.
- Lead and mentor the HR team across multiple locations.
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Drive recruitment and onboarding processes for all levels – from shop floor to senior leadership.
- Develop talent management and succession planning programs.
- Ensure optimal staffing aligned with business needs.
- HR Operations & Compliance
- Manage HRIS systems, employee data, and statutory compliances (PF, ESI, LWF, Factories Act, etc.).
- Standardize and enforce HR policies across all locations.
- Lead internal/external audits and regulatory communications.
- Performance & Rewards
- Implement performance management frameworks (KPIs, OKRs, appraisals).
- Manage training, leadership development, and performance reviews.
- Align compensation and incentive structures with market and internal equity.
- Employee Engagement & Culture
- Roll out employee engagement programs, communication strategies, and feedback systems.
- Foster a transparent and collaborative workplace.
- Strengthen grievance redressal and disciplinary frameworks.
- Learning & Development
- Assess training needs and deploy programs from technical skills to leadership development.
- Build partnerships with external training bodies and promote internal mobility.
- Industrial Relations & Plant HR
- Provide strategic leadership on industrial relations across factories in India.
- Handle union negotiations, collective bargaining, and ensure compliance.
- Ensure standard HR processes and IR practices across locations.
- HR Analytics & Reporting
- Track HR metrics: attrition, absenteeism, cost-per-hire, training effectiveness, etc.
- Deliver actionable insights and dashboards to senior management.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Education: MBA/PGDM in HR from a reputed institute
- Experience: 15+ years in HR, with 5–7 years in a leadership role managing multi-location manufacturing HR
- Industry Background: Manufacturing, Engineering, Polymer, Automotive, or similar industrial sectors
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of Indian labour laws, industrial relations, HR systems, and compliance
- Key Skills: Strategic thinking, people management, communication, negotiation, data-driven decision-making
